Inkema Moves to its New HQ & Factory

INKEMA is celebrating the opening of its new facilities in Les Franqueses del Vallès (Barcelona). The new plant has more than 13,000m2 of useful area on a plot of more than 30,000m2, which will deliver a significant increase in the productive capacities of our company.

The facilities are located in El Ramassar Industrial Park and are duplicating in size those we had in our old location. With this great step forward, the company not only increases its production capacity, but it will also boost productivity and the internal logistics model efficiency thanks to its strategic location. Les Franqueses del Vallès has direct access to the AP-7 motorway and the C-17 dual carriageway, being distant just 20 km from Barcelona and 120 km from the French border.

The new factory becomes one of largest and modern in Europe for manufacturing dock levellers, together with other loading and unloading solutions, by implementing an assembly line production system. Further to this, various tools of the Lean Manufacturing system have been implemented, while all processes are developed under the philosophy of continuous improvement.

All departments are again fully operational: factory and technical service, spare parts, and customer service. Our new premises will allow to increase our current production to respond to the growing demand both nationally and internationally for docks levellers, scissor lift tables, loading bridges and industrial doors of all kinds (fast, sectional or firewall).

Inkema is moving on with its long-term business development plan to consolidate its REFERENCE position as one of the main manufacturers of dock levellers and industrial enclosures, thanks to our great effort for more than 35 years.
